Business Improvement District to Host Bridging Bach to Rock, a Celebration of Oshkosh!

Oshkosh, WI – The Downtown Oshkosh Business Improvement District is hosting a celebration of Oshkosh to begin with the Wisconsin Street Bridge dedication followed by a parade to Opera House Square and an evening of bands, food and fun on Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Bridging Back to Rock is the biggest outdoor celebration of the year! Complete with foot-traffic-only on downtown streets, the event combines local food vendors, downtown store vendors and specialty beverages for all ages. This synergy creates an all inclusive downtown destination with a surprise around every corner, don’t miss a thing!

1:00 P.M.    VFW Band plays on the Wisconsin Street Bridge & Showcasing area businesses from Ohio and Wisconsin Street

2:00 P.M.    Bridge Dedication

2:30 P.M.    Parade to Opera House Square, Downtown Oshkosh
Parade route begins at the Wisconsin Street Bridge, leading north on Wisconsin Street, right on High Avenue and ending at the intersection of High and Brown.

3:00 P.M.    Local band on stage – Oshkosh Players Club

4:00 P.M.    Local band on stage – TunaWax Dj’s

4:45 P.M.    Local band on stage – The Bakers

6:00 – 8:00 P.M.    Vic Ferrari and the Oshkosh All Star Symphony live and in concert!

Proceeds from this event will be for the Downtown Façade program, a fund has been established with the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.
